The family of Tom Petty is suing a Boston auction house, accusing it of selling stolen goods. The suit claims that several dozen items listed on the website of RR Auctions were “outright stolen from a secured archive”. Items listed include clothing, boots, and autographed items belonging to Petty.  The family claims they have “irreplaceable sentimental and educational value” and is demanding they be returned.

Tom Petty, the chart-topping singer and songwriter, died in October 2017 due to an accidental drug overdose as a result of taking a variety of medications.

If these items were stolen, how do you think the auction house got them?
