Two people were found shot to death late Thursday, according to Gaston County Police.
Authorities were called before Midnight to a report of gunshots at Lowery Wood Road and Lewis Farm Road near Bessemer City. When they arrived they found Robert “Luke” Gibby, 22, of Bessemer City, N.C. and Adam Kale Wood, 19, of Kings Mountain, N.C. dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Investigators also said two hours after responding to the scene, Todd Payton Lee Waggoner, 21, of Winston-Salem, showed up at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C. with non-life-threatening injuries and he admitted to being at the scene with Gibby and Woods.
Police didn’t release any further information or a possible motive for the crime.
