Gabby Petito’s Parents Give Emotional Eulogies

As mourner stuffed into a Long Island funeral home, Gabby Petito’s parents delivered emotional speeches about their daughter.

“I want you to take a look at these pictures, and I want you to be inspired by Gabby,” Petito’s father Joseph said.

“If there’s a trip you guys want to take, take it now,” he added. “Do it now while you have the time. If there is a relationship that you’re in that might not be the best thing for you, leave it now.”

Petito’s stepfather Jim Schmidt said in his eulogy, “Parents aren’t supposed to bury their children. This is not how life is supposed to work.”

Petito’s mother, Nicole Schmidt, made a statement the night prior on her Facebook page and thanked people for their support.
