Baton Rouge, Louisiana has taken the key to the city away from R. Kelly.
Denise Marcell gave Kelly the key back in 2013 as a member of the Baton Rouge city council.
After R. Kelly’s conviction, Marcell says she feels bad for giving the key to R. Kelly and is working to rescind it. Marcell isn’t able to take back the plaque and key from the anger, however, the honor that comes along with it will be stripped.
Even though Marcell isn’t on the city council any longer, she still holds the power to strip the key from Kelly because she was the one who gave it to him.
