President Biden’s $1.9 Trillion American Rescue Plan Act is now passed by Congress and signed into law in March. Out of those trillion of dollars, $350 Million will be allocated to state, local and tribal governments for COVID relief funds. What does that mean for the Charlotte Mecklenburg County?
It means that Charlotte Mecklenburg County will have until December 2024 to make a decision on how to share the relief funds but they must spend the funds before December 2026.
The Next step is US! Charlotte will have a public forum today, Oct 5th, 2021 at 6:30 pm.
They are also encouraging residents to also take an online survey on the use of the funds. Here is your time to speak up and be heard about how we should use the money for COVID relief funds.
