The research consisted of analyzing reviews on IMDB for the top 25 highest-grossing horror movies worldwide, then adding up the number of times that words like “scary” and “terrifying” were used in the reviews.
Coming in second was “The Ring”, followed by “The Exorcist”, “The Conjuring” and “It”.
