Britney Spears is Finally Free! Conservatorship is Over Finally!
Britney Spears is finally free from the conservatorship she’s been under for 13 years.
Britney was in court and which was the first hearing since Judge Linda Penny suspended Britney’s father, Jamie, from the conservatorship and appointed a certified public accountant as a temporary manager of the star’s finances.
“Effective today, the conservatorship of Britney Jean Spears, the person and the estate is hereby terminated,” the judge said at the hearing. Britney was not in attendance. After the hearing, her lawyer spoke.
He said, “What that means is we have set up a financial safety net for Britney, in terms of a new trust. All of the assets that are outside of the existing trust will be transferred by the existing conservator of the estate… into that trust.” As expected, many of her fans celebrated outside of the courthouse and on social media.
Earlier this week Britney was said to be “really anxious” but was remaining “positive” about the upcoming court date.
Finally freedom for Britney!
