Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Steele Creek Division asks for the public’s help identifying a suspect linked to a shooting that occurred at a Walmart yesterday evening.

Shortly after 7:20 p.m. Monday, officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Walmart located at 8180 South Tryon Street in the Steele Creek Division. When officers arrived, they located evidence of a shooting inside the business and began a search for the suspect and anyone injured. The CMPD’s Canine Unit and SWAT Team also responded to assist with evacuating employees and customers out of the building while the search was conducted.

At the conclusion of the search, no suspects or victims were located; however, evidence gathered on scene indicates someone may have been injured as a result of the shooting.

Detectives investigating this case have released the above photograph, which is believed to be the suspect in the shooting. Anyone with information about this investigation or the below suspect is asked to call 911.
