There are lots of awe-inspiring public holiday light displays like Christmas Town USA but there are several places where you can find elaborate decorations to celebrate the season with giving.

See the angels on Sunday, December 19th from 6pm-8pm at Holy Angels in Belmont. One hundred angels and hundreds of luminaries make up the 2nd annual Share the Light luminary event. There will be a live nativity scene featuring Holy Angels residents and staff and it is narrated on your radio by NBC Charlotte’s Larry Sprinkle. You can share the light by dedicating an angel or luminary to a relative, friend, teacher or caregiver, front line worker or community servant.

In the Montibello neighborhood on Black Sycamore Drive you’ll find Queen Family Christmas in Charlotte. Inflatables galore and thousands of lights. They play music on the weekends and raise money for Charlotte Rescue Mission.

LOAVES AND FISHES

Hillside Avenue in Myers Park is known for its Christmas Balls  Spectacular! You see the giant ornaments made from chicken wire twinkling from the historic trees. Hillside neighbors are welcoming cash and or food donations for Loaves and Fishes.
