Blake Shelton gave one lucky fan the gift of a lifetime during his recent concert at Choctaw Casinos & Resorts on Friday evening (January 29).

Shelton read the sign of six-year-old Wyatt, who is currently waiting on a heart transplant. His sign read: “Your smallest, biggest fan from Lake Texoma, 6 years old waiting on a heart transplant.” After reading the sign Shelton told the crowd, “Think y’all are having a bad day, put that into perspective right there, man.”

Wyatt’s message also included a request to sing with Shelton, so he was brought on stage to sing his favorite song, “God’s Country.”

Wyatt’s mother, Harley McKee told Music Mayhem that Wyatt, “was born with Hypoplastic left heart syndrome,” meaning his heart didn’t grow properly.

As for his love of Blake Shelton, McKee says, “He just came home one day and just kept yelling to play ‘God’s Country,’ ‘God’s Country,’ and for a couple of years now, anytime we get in the car, we got to play God’s Country all the time.” McKee shares Wyatt’s progress via Facebook.
