The votes are in….any ideas what state is the most obsessed with exercise?

According to the CDC, only 53 percent of adults meet the “Physical Activity Guidelines for aerobic physical activity.” Parts of the country rank higher than others for having a reputation of being active. According to a study conducted by Exercise.com, Minnesota is the #1 most exercise-obsessed state in the U.S. Minnesota on average has 10 gyms per 100,000 people with a total of 571 gyms in the state.

Keep in mind, these are colder states, so it makes sense that residents would be reliant on gyms more than outdoor activity.

Colorado comes in second, followed by Connecticut, Washington and Massachusetts rounds out the top five. West Virginia has ranked last in the study as the lowest “exercise-obsessed” state.

What is your favorite way to exercise?
