Mariah Carey posted a text thread on Twitter revealing her accidental text to the wrong Shawn.
The text reads “Happy thanksgiving” alone with a four-leaf clover emoji and was sent to Shawn Mendes!
She revealed that her cousin who is also named Shawn and her have a tradition, “we tell each other Happy Thanksgiving on St. Patrick’s Day”.
She quickly realized it was the wrong Shawn and replied with “Wrong Shawn. Sorry. Also, I do realize it is NOT Thanksgiving. Haha.”
Shawn Mendes wrote back to Mariah, “hahahaha that’s okay I figured it was an inside joke.”
