It’s really quite simple and sometimes right there in front of our faces.

The importance of what we eat goes far deeper than weight loss and waist bands. Intestinal health, skin, hair, teeth, colon, etc. It all starts with the gut. This is why it is so important to know how to read labels, or at the very least, stick to the basics and eat as cleanly as possible.

My daughter had such severe abdominal issues combined with eczema (and still battles with eczema); however, she knows the cause and the fix. For years, we didn’t. The amount of money I spent on internists and dermatologists was astronomical. Tests upon tests. Ointments, creams, muscle relaxants, steroids, etc.

My last resort should’ve been my first, especially considering I am a health coach and knew better. Logic escaped me concerning my own daughter. After about three years of doctors and tests, I decided to take her to an ND (Naturopathic Dr) for food testing and a whole body assessment. It was worth every cent.

The skin issues that she was having were evidence right away that her gut wasn’t able to break down certain ingredients so the body was literally excreting them and pushing them out. Your body is smart (I will continue to remind you of this). You see, if our bodies can’t digest and distribute the necessary minerals and vitamins to their proper place and filter the other stuff we eat and drink appropriately, it will have no choice but to dispose of it elsewhere.

Many people suffer from leaky gut, gallbladder issues, acid reflux and skin conditions. Have you ever stopped for a minute to think why? Popping antacids after every meal isn’t normal, nor is it healthy. Not only did my daughter need pre-biotics AND probiotics, she needed to flat out avoid certain foods. Within 3 to 5 DAYS her skin improved drastically…with NO prescriptions. To this day, she only flares up when she eats something she’s not supposed to. Her intestinal issues never returned, thankfully. As a parent, watching your child in that kind of pain was frightening.

If you have any type of unexplained rash, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, rheumatoid issues, intestinal pain, I highly recommend finding the source instead of covering up the symptoms with over-the-counter meds, or worse, prescriptions. Our body gives us so many warnings and so many times we ignore them or trust any doctor that is willing to write a prescription. Reminder: every SINGLE prescription comes with a side effect. Food allergy tests are available to see what might trigger stomach and skin issues

Try finding a doctor that will get to the root of the issue instead of slapping on the figurative band aid. I promise you, Your WHOLE body AND wallet will thank you for it.
