Better pay your taxes….ask Shakira.
Recently, Spanish prosecutors have requested Shakira to spend 8 years behind bars because of alleged tax fraud that amounts to $14 million. After more than 5 years of battling with Shakira, the prosecutors are stating that Shakira did not pay taxes from 2011-2014.
Shakira is responding by stating that she did not live in Spain during that time allegedly. Her legal team is very confident in their innocence and plans on continuing the fight against these prosecutors. Shakira will have to rely on her accounting team to provide years of paperwork.
