Zac Efron has shared that he’s saying goodbye to the vegan life.  He said, “I started intermittent fasting just after I stopped being vegan. My body wasn’t processing the vegetables in the right way.” He continued with “So, I decided to stop it and try something new. Intermittent fasting has been really helpful with that.”

There are many health benefits to intermittent fasting, not just weight loss. The body reaches autophagy and assists in keeping disease at bay. Our own Holly Haze is a fan on the intermittent fasting lifestyle. Haze says, “Dr Jason Fung is the leading nephrologist doing human research on the benefits of intermittent fasting. His book ‘The Obesity Code’ is a must-read for anyone interested in this type of fasting. I prefer to research and learn versus follow any fad”. Haze continues, “unless your vegan lifestyle is 100% plant-based, the health benefits aren’t there. Living off boxed and processed vegan food isn’t the way to go.”

Other celebs who ditched the vegan lifestyle include Miley Cyrus, Samuel L Jackson, and Anne Hathaway.
