Although the August death of Indiana Representative Jackie Walorski made national headlines, apparently the news went unnoticed by President Joe Biden. He called out the late congresswoman’s name and looked for her in a crowd he was speaking to on Wednesday. The snafu occurred during a White House conference on hunger, nutrition and health when Biden was thanking four lawmakers — one of whom was Walorski — who sponsored the legislation. “I want to thank all of you here, including bipartisan elected officials like Senator Braun, Senator Booker, Representative … Jackie. Jackie, are you here?” Biden said to the stunned audience. “I think she was going to be here to help make this a reality.”

Walorski, 58, and two of her staff members were killed on August 3rd when their vehicle swerved into oncoming traffic. Another motorist, 56-year-old Indiana resident Edith Schmucker, was also killed in the crash, authorities have revealed. What’s the most embarrassing verbal slip you’ve made?
