Gen Z finds the thumbs up emoji passive aggressive and even confrontational. One Gen Z person interviewed even called that emoji “hurtful”.
The thumbs up emoji confuses some people. ‘Do you mean yes I will do something, okay I agree or is it just confirmation that you received the message?”
