According to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, the number of daily reported Covid-19 cases has eclipsed 10,000 for the first time of the pandemic. 10,398 at the time of this posting to be exact.  As the numbers increase, it’s easy to understand why Governor Roy Cooper is taking measures to help stop the spread. Yesterday, Cooper extended the imposed North Carolina 10pm curfew for three more weeks.

Meanwhile, former Governor Jim Hunt is doing his part as well, by getting vaccinated alongside some other politicians to encourage NC residents over the age of 75 to get their own vaccination. The NCDHHS reminds  us that the Vaccine will be available to all residents, free of charge, according to the state’s rollout plan. Get more information here.

Mecklenburg County has seen a 57% increase in hospitalizations related to Covid-19 in the past month and the chart is on a steady and rapid incline. In fact the rate of hospitalization has reached 811 persons out of every 100,000 in the county.  Source

  • Wear a cloth mask over your nose and mouth.
  • Wait 6 feet apart. Avoid close contact.
  • Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer.

These actions can protect our families and neighbors as the state works to ease restrictions while the virus is still circulating.
