Matthew Perry Reveals He Was in a Coma and Nearly Died a Few Years Ago
Mathew Perry has a new memoir titled, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing. He shares a story about the time he was hospitalized when his colon burst due to opioid overuse. He was in a coma for two weeks, in the hospital for five months and had to use a colostomy bag for nine months. The public was told he suffered from a gastrointestinal perforation. He has since had 14 surgeries on his stomach and says, that’s a lot of reminders to stay sober. All I have to do is look down.
