The Interim Head Coach of the Carolina Panthers Steve Wilks joined Kyle Bailey on Monday’s edition of The Clubhouse as he recapped the Panthers 21-3 win over the Buccaneers, and how they will have to keep the momentum going against the Falcons on Sunday.

Kyle started the interview by asking Coach Wilks what it meant to get the game ball from Owner David Tepper after beating the Buccaneers as he said it was very special, but he was happier for the guys in the locker room after all the hard work they have put in over the past few weeks.

After the last few turbulent weeks inside Bank of America Stadium, Steve Wilks told Kyle that when he became the interim coach he said his goal was to create a mindset of having the act of a champion which consists of accountability, commitment, and trust as he says he wants to see this for the remainder of the season and he thinks they can accomplish some great things if they believe in those 3 key elements.

When it came to PJ Walker’s strong performance Steve told Kyle:

“The guys trust him and rally behind him. I was very pleased at how he went out there and commanded the offense.”

Steve also went out of his way to compliment the offensive line as they were outstanding in both pass-blocking and run-blocking while also praising Taylor Moton’s leadership and James Campen for playing factors in the improvement of the group this year.

The Panthers have another divisional opponent this weekend against the Atlanta Falcons he noted how dangerous Marcus Mariotta and the run game can be for Atlanta, and their defense is going to be tough across the board.
