In September, Brendan Fraser’s movie “The Whale” premiered at the Venice Film Festival. In the movie, coming out next month, he plays a 600-lbs teacher. For the part, he wears a fat suit. Many are criticizing the movie and him wearing the fat suit, and he has responded. He said, “I’m not a small man. And I don’t know what the metric is to qualify to play the role.” He added, “I only know that I had to give as honest a performance as I can.”
