A big plan to vaccinate one million people in Charlotte by July 4th.

That’s the goal of a new private-public partnership.

Atrium Health, Honeywell, Tepper Sports & Entertainment and the Charlotte Motor Speedway have entered into a partnership with the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services, the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County.

Vaccines will be administered at Bank of America Stadium and Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The NCHHS is also looking for a location in Winston-Salem.

Of course the most important ingredient is the vaccine, how much will be available locally and when.

President-elect Joe Biden has set a goal of 100 million people vaccinated in his first 100 days in office.

The inclusion of some of these partner is obvious.

Why Honeywell? They’re said to be included because of their logistics expertise, they’re also Charlotte based.

There was no information at the time of this post on when the venues would start administering the vaccine.
