On Tuesday night, the 2023 Golden Globe Awards honored Kevin Costner (January 10). As patriarch John Dutton on Yellowstone, the Oscar-winning actor, director, and producer won Best Actor in a Television Series—Drama.

Costner faced tough competition for the honor. Jeff Bridges, Diego Luna, Bob Odenkirk, and Adam Scott were also nominated.

Costner is Yellowstone’s first Golden Globe nominee. Despite its popularity, prominent awards programs have ignored it. Season four of Yellowstone has ranked at the top of cable T.V. viewing.

The actor posted on social media earlier Tuesday that he and his wife, Christine Baumgartner, had planned to attend the ceremony, but California’s rain and flooding prevented them from attending.

Do you think Kevin Costner was the right pick to win Best Actor in a T.V. series/drama? Who do you think should’ve won?
