Sesame Street co-founder Lloyd Morrisett has died at 93.

The psychologist was lauded for leaving an “outsized and enduring influence” on global youth.

Dr. Morrisett was one of the first to use television to instruct young children.

On Tuesday, Sesame Workshop confirmed his death without further details. The first episode of Sesame Street aired on public TV stations on November 10, 1969, and it still airs today.

The news of Morrisett’s death comes less than two months after one of the show’s first non-muppet castmates, Bob McGrath, died at the age of 90.
