Former “The Voice” coach Adam Levine commented on Blake Shelton’s departure from the show.

Levine left in 2019 during season 16, leaving Shelton as the last original coach.

He spoke about Blake leaving for the first time since the country singer made the announcement in October.

“It’s about time!” Levine told Entertainment Tonight outside the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday evening (March 12).

All jokes aside, Levine praised Shelton for his dedication to the show over the past 23 seasons and his impressive nine coach wins.

Shelton recently told PEOPLE, “The holdup over the years has been that it’s a hard thing for me to let go of. I’ve been here literally since the first minute,”

Who should take Blake Shelton’s big red chair after he leaves “The Voice?”
