Despite promising to implement paid password sharing in the United States by the end of March, Netflix has not yet done so.

During a quarterly earnings call, Gregory Peters, co-CEO and director of Netflix, explained that the company has learned from previous password enforcement rules in other countries such as Canada, New Zealand, Portugal, and Spain.

Peters stated that it was more beneficial to take some additional time to create a “new, improved version” of the policy.

This policy will be utilized in the United States by the end of the second quarter, meaning that users should anticipate being required to cease sharing their Netflix passwords by the end of June.
