The 2023 NFL Season gets underway tonight, and by the end of Monday night, a handful of teams will know their fate, in terms of being Super Bowl contenders, and playoff teams. In the Super Bowl era, the teams that have the coveted Lombardi Trophy are 46-10-1 in season openers, Since 2022, 334 teams have won their season openers, and 176 of them went on to make the postseason. On the flipside, only 82 teams that lost their season opener, made it to the postseason, a stark difference between the two results.

The Panthers season now sits just three days away and, unfortunately, the focus is split between the game and the unresolved contract situation with their top defensive player. Fifth-year edge rusher Brian Burns missed Thursday’s practice and Tuesday’s walkthrough, sparking some panic from Panther fans about the status of the team’s top defensive player heading […]

After a brief absence, Brian Burns was spotted at practice today, wearing full pads, although he did not participate in the team's stretching routine, but was a full participant during team drills. His absence was described as a "personal matter", but many believe it was him, seeking a deal to be done before the season opener, this Sunday at Atlanta. Burns and his camp were seeking a new deal, worth around $28 million a year, meanwhile, the Panthers seemed more comfortable paying roughly $23 million. The self-imposed holdout was in response to Nick Bosa waiting for a new deal from the 49ers, which was completed today, as he signed a historic, five-year, $170 million dollar contract, making him the highest defensive player in NFL history.

Panthers Hall of Honor WR turned NFL Network analyst Steve Smith Sr. joined the Kyle Bailey Show earlier this afternoon to weigh in on the Brian Burns situation as well as the Panthers season opener against the Falcons. The conversation with Smitty started with Brian Burns not participating in practice on Monday as he looks […]

The 2023 NFL season gets underway this week, and as of right now, it's unclear if Brian Burns will be on the field or not. After being involved in the majority of the off-season activities, Burns has been absent from the team for a handful of days, and it's likely because he's ready for a new contract. Burns' holdout comes as Nick Bosa awaits a new contract from the 49ers, a deal that the Panthers are waiting to be finalized before giving Burns a mega contract.

The Carolina Panthers’ 2023 season is just five days away from kicking off, as Frank Reich heads to the site of the first game in franchise history that he was a quarterback for to face the Atlanta Falcons. Unfortunately, there is a chance that he may have to do it without arguably the team’s best […]

The preseason has been over for a week now, but that doesn't mean that the opinions on Bryce Young's first preseason have slowed down any. Over the course of the three exhibition games, Young went 14-24, for 129 yards, and one passing touchdown. In the preseason finale against the Lions, the #1 picked looked the part, going 7-12, for 73 yards, and a touchdown pass to Adam Thielen. That was enough to calm down some concerns that maybe the Panthers invested the #1 pick in the wrong QB.
