While JD may not have been born in the Carolinas, they have always been on my mind!!!

He is originally from Idaho, but my wife (Nicole) and our sons have moved back and forth across the country multiple times but are very happy to call Charlotte home base now.

As you will find out JD is a Disney Dad to the core and my love for Pop Culture & Bravo seems to be the only thing in cue on TV.

JD is a die-hard Panthers' fan, and supporter of Charlotte FC, but what he's the most excited about is waking up with you and The Morning Mix with Matt Harris & Friends.

Follow JD on instagram @producingjd and if you see him out in the Queen City and surrounding areas, please don't be shy say hello he's always good for dishing about the latest Housewives or Vanderpump Rules drama.

Last week Matt brought us the survey of smells that bother people the most so the podcast did the only thing it could do: Talk about the weird smells some people love. The latest episode involves a lively discussion about training your cats to use a human toilet, manure smelling like money and Matt’s daughter […]

Time to slather your favorite flatbread with some hummus and go to your favorite Greek restaurant. It’s March 29th which is recognized as National Pita Day. Need a place to find some pita? Liz’s favorite is The Mad Greek. Not only do they have amazing pita slices and a tremendous amount of dips and spreads […]

UNC Charlotte, which is the second largest school in the UNC system, has always lacked a main street. Of course it’s bordered by North Tryon Street and University City Boulevard but those don’t exactly scream walkable. The shopping plazas certainly come in handy but it lacks a Chapel Hill-Hillsborough Street feel. Well, plans are in […]

With Easter fast approaching, it’s time to stock up for the chocolate covered holiday. An Instacart survey found that two in three Americans typically celebrate Easter and 92% of those who celebrate play to buy Easter candy this year. When looking at the top-selling Easter candy in every state, Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs are the […]

We all have things we saw our parents do and vowed not to. Well, in adulthood those tables can turn. Like owning a minivan. Matt and Ramona both have experiences where it turned out that while not sexy on the outside, minivans offer a lot of conveniences and luxuries on the inside. Other things that […]

Producer for Matt & Ramona and corgi enthusiast Liz is an avid follower and fan of the Charlotte Corgi Club. This past weekend the club held an event with the Charlotte Checkers that hosted corgis on the ice. Technically it was the AHL team’s “Pooch Party” but I’d like to focus on the corgi race […]

Do you have a favorite kind of pizza? What about a least favorite? Ramona recently spoke at Johnson C. Smith University, wandered around and found a place serving Detroit-style pizza. Until this chance encounter, it was a pizza type with which she was unfamiliar. This led to a discussion of who likes what – Deep […]

Conversation starter or too spooky for you? The Murdaugh family estate was sold and the contents of it went up for auction. Hundreds flocked to Pembroke, Georgia to bid on items.   More than 200 items went up for sale but not all attendees came prepared to spend. Some were merely in attendance to gawk, people […]

Ryan Black is the rancher from Shelby who’s currently appearing on Fox’s reality TV dating show “Farmer Wants a Wife.”  The women spend time on their farmer’s respective ranches but unlike with the Fantasy Suite experience on ABC’s “The Bachelor” the guys and their women sleep in separate rooms. That’s allegedly the plan for the duration […]

Liz has compiled a list of patios to check out with a warm forecast for the rest of the week. The first is a quaint and boutique-y option in fourth ward. Visit Poplar Tapas which is open Thursday and Friday at 5pm. On Thursdays they offer half-priced sparkling bottles. Craving a patio with more space? […]
