Jasmine Johnnae Clifton made her initial appearance in front of a federal judge Monday after a grand jury indicted her on fraud charges last week, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of North Carolina said in a press release.
The new chicken taco sandwich, made up of crispy chicken and chipotle sauce in a folded pita flatbread, will be tested at select locations in Nashville, Tennessee, and Charlotte, North Carolina, starting March 11. A nationwide rollout will happen later this year.
Savannah Childress, 14, was reported missing on Feb. 11 from her home in Denton, N.C. Investigators say she was using her school-issued computer to talk with an individual online. A man identified as William Robert Ice, 38, of Mercer County, Pennsylvania, took Childress from home, according to the Davidson County Sheriff's Office. He then transported her west, sending authorities on a multi-state manhunt.
Laura Steele, 52, of Thomasville, North Carolina was taken into custody by Federal agents on Wednesday in Greensboro. She, along with five other individuals, are charged as co-defendant in a preexisting case of the United States v. Thomas Caldwell, Donovan Crowl, and Jessica Watkins.
Authorities were called before Midnight to a report of gunshots at Lowery Wood Road and Lewis Farm Road near Bessemer City. When they arrived they found Robert “Luke” Gibby, 22, of Bessemer City, N.C. and Adam Kale Wood, 19, of Kings Mountain, N.C. dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
"We're all in different stages of the grieving process," McCrory told CNN. "Some people are in withdrawal. Some people are still in anger. Some people are still very suspicious of how it happened. We're not ready yet to get back into the policy but we need to get there pretty quick. "Policy will trump all," he added."

The group weighed factors such as business and home ownership, median income, workforce participation, education, and poverty rates for Black residents from data collected by the U.S. Census.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at Cornelius Village Apartments on Meridian Street off Catawba Avenue around 7 p.m ET. When officers arrived they found Gabriel Alexis Henderson dead in a bedroom of her apartment, police said.
