After being involved in the majority of the off-season activities, Burns has been absent from the team for a handful of days, and it's likely because he's ready for a new contract. Burns' holdout comes as Nick Bosa awaits a new contract from the 49ers, a deal that the Panthers are waiting to be finalized before giving Burns a mega contract.

The preseason has been over for a week now, but that doesn't mean that the opinions on Bryce Young's first preseason have slowed down any. Over the course of the three exhibition games, Young went 14-24, for 129 yards, and one passing touchdown. In the preseason finale against the Lions, the #1 picked looked the part, going 7-12, for 73 yards, and a touchdown pass to Adam Thielen. That was enough to calm down some concerns that maybe the Panthers invested the #1 pick in the wrong QB.
