Luke Combs, a North Carolina native, is planning a special initiative to help those affected by Hurricane Helene in the western part of the state.

The storm caused catastrophic flooding, particularly in Asheville and Boone, where Combs attended high school and college.

Combs expressed his heartbreak for the impacted communities and hinted at a forthcoming effort to support the Carolinas.

Meanwhile, Panthers owner David Tepper and the Carolina Hurricanes have also pledged financial support for recovery efforts.

“Absolutely heartbroken for everyone impacted by Hurricane Helene,” he said in a social media post on Saturday.

“Especially my folks in Western North Carolina. Me and my team have been making some calls and I think we’ve got something really special lined up to help the Carolinas as much as we can.”
