Carrie Underwood to perform at Trump Inauguration

Country music superstar Carrie Underwood will perform “America the Beautiful” at U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20.

Underwood expressed her love for the country and honor in being asked to sing at the event.

The Grammy-winning artist won “American Idol” in 2005 and has mostly stayed out of politics during her career.

Following Underwood’s performance, Chief Justice John Roberts will administer the oath of office to Trump.

Carrie will be returning to “American Idol” as a judge. She’ll be taking over from Katy Perry on the panel.

Other artists slated to perform at the inauguration, include Lee Greenwood and The Village People.
