After Billy Ray Cyrus’ performance at Donald Trump’s Liberty Inauguration Ball, his son Trace is worried about his health.
Trace shared fears that the world may lose his father too soon and urged him to seek help.
Billy Ray’s performance raised concerns as he appeared unhealthy and under the influence, prompting Trace to reach out with a heartfelt message of love and support.
“Sadly the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like I barely recognize now. It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you,” he wrote alongside a throwback photo. “Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed all of us away.”
Despite their estrangement, Trace emphasized his desire for his father to recover and offered his help.
“We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew & hoping for the day he returns. You’re not healthy Dad & everyone is noticing it,” Trace continued. “As I write this with tears in my eyes I hope you realize this message only comes from a place of love and also fear that the world may lose you far too soon.”
Trace says his sisters agree with him and he is willing to help his father if he reaches out. Billy Ray has a history of substance abuse.
