Reportedly, Serena Williams is joining the ownership group of the WNBA’s first Canadian franchise, the Toronto Tempo, partnering with Larry Tanenbaum.

She expressed her excitement about the ownership role, stating, “This moment is not just about basketball; it is about showcasing the true value and potential of female athletes.”

She, known as one of the greatest tennis players in history, will play an active role in future jersey designs for the Toronto Tempo.
Tempo President Teresa Resch praised Williams, calling her a champion and stating, “She’s the greatest athlete of all time, and her impact on this team and this country is going to be incredible.”

Williams is not new to ownership ventures, as she already has stakes in Angel City FC women’s soccer team, the Miami Dolphins, and TGL’s Los Angeles Golf Club.
