Hornets Select Kon Knueppel with No. 4 Pick in 2025 NBA Draft

The Charlotte Hornets select Duke guard Kon Knueppel with the fourth overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Knueppel, a standout freshman, started all 39 games for the Blue Devils, averaging 14.4 points, four rebounds, 2.7 assists, and one steal per game. He shot an efficient 47% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc.
He earned Second Team All-ACC, ACC All-Freshman honors, and was named ACC Tournament MVP after leading Duke to the conference title in Cooper Flagg’s absence. During Duke’s Final Four run, he averaged 15 points and shot 55% from three, including 20 points vs. Arizona and 21 against Alabama in the Elite Eight.
Knueppel’s mother and father both played college basketball, and his uncle, Jeff Nordgaard, played for the Milwaukee Bucks during the 1997-98 season.
The Hornets also hold the 33rd and 34th picks in the draft.
