Five North Carolina ice cream shops rank among nation’s best

North Carolina is home to five ice cream parlors that have been ranked among the nation’s best by review website Yelp.

The top-ranking shop in the state is located in Durham and offers unique Latin-inspired desserts like banana pudding ice cream and churro sundaes.

Other notable ice cream shops in North Carolina include Beaches N Cream in Supply, Ozzie’s Ice Cream in Greensboro, Twin City Sweets in Winston-Salem, and Pints Ice Cream in Fuquay-Varina.

While these shops didn’t make it onto another national list, Andia’s Ice Cream in the Triangle area received a readers’ choice award from USA Today’s 10Best.

According to Yelp, Novel Ice Cream in Phoenix is the top spot for ice cream in the nation.
