Adam Sandler Shares His One Golden Rule for Daughters
Adam Sandler is back on the green in Happy Gilmore 2, the highly anticipated Netflix sequel premiering July 25. Nearly 30 years after the original comedy’s debut, the beloved actor and comedian reunites with Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald—plus adds some new talent to the cast, including his real-life daughters.
Sunny (18) and Sadie (16) Sandler make appearances in the film, and according to their famous dad, his advice for navigating Hollywood has been simple but essential: “Be nice to everybody.” Sandler emphasized the importance of treating all crew members with respect—not just the stars or producers. “The crew is all you got. They work their a–es off,” he told Fox News Digital.

Julie Bowen, reprising her role as Virginia Venit, praised Sandler’s parenting, saying, “You raised them right.” She added that kindness shouldn’t be reserved for “fancy people,” and that everyone on set deserves respect.
The film, filled with big names like Ben Stiller, Bad Bunny, Haley Joel Osment, Travis Kelce, and even Sandler’s wife Jackie, follows Happy Gilmore trying to fulfill his child’s dream in the world of golf. Sandler quipped that he didn’t even know his daughters were in the movie until they showed up on set.
As for comedy success? Sandler credits teamwork and creative energy: “We work hard with people who like to create and keep it fresh.”
Happy Gilmore 2 premieres July 25 on Netflix—expect laughs, nostalgia, and a whole lot of heart from the Sandler family.
