Pepsi Launching Prebiotic Soda

PepsiCo is launching a new prebiotic soda this fall to cater to health-conscious consumers.
The new Pepsi Prebiotic Cola will contain five grams of cane sugar, three grams of prebiotic fiber, and no artificial sweeteners, with 30 calories per serving.
Ram Krishnan, CEO of PepsiCo Beverages U.S., stated that the new cola offers consumers functional ingredients without compromising the iconic Pepsi taste.
Pepsi’s move to introduce healthier options follows its acquisition of Poppi, a low-calorie soda with prebiotics, fruit juice, and apple cider, for nearly $2 billion.
Pepsi is tapping into the growing prebiotic and probiotic market, valued at $262 million in 2024, to boost sales and meet consumer demand for gut-healthy alternatives to traditional soda.
