Both of these dogs are available through Animal Care and Control in Charlotte

A1216568 Drusky. 2 year old 54 lb Lab mix. Drusky was adopted last year. His new owners called animal control and said that they found him roaming the streets. When the officer got to the house and scanned his microchip, they were caught in a lie, and they decided that they did not want him anymore because the wife was pregnant. Sadly, these lies are far too common and these excuses as well. He deserves so much better than that. Humans failed him once again. He is a wonderful boy. He loves his playtime and loves a yard to run in. He rides well in the car. Potty trained. Uses a doggy door well and working on crate routine as well.

A1244103 Leanna. 1 year old 58 lb border collie mix. Leanna is heartworm positive, but the shelter covers treatment and it is not contagious. She is learning some manners and would do best in a house without cats. She is very loving. She loves going on trail walks. She loves playing.

As with any rescue or shelter dog, please follow the 3:3:3 rule. These dogs need to decompress….3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your routine, 3 months to feel safe and part of your home.
