Taylor Swift has announced her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, and hinted at key collaborators.

The Spotify playlist titled “And, baby, that’s show business for you” features 22 tracks produced by Max Martin and Shellback, leading to speculation that they may have produced the upcoming album.

Longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff appears to be absent from this album cycle, indicating a stylistic shift in Swift’s creative team.

The countdown on Swift’s official website ended with the announcement of The Life of a Showgirl, available for pre-order in vinyl, CD, and cassette editions.

Swift will be a guest on the New Heights podcast on Wednesday (August 13) hosted by Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce, where she confirmed that the new project is her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl.

On Monday, (August 11) the podcast teased Swift’s appearance on Instagram with a caption that read, “92%ers, we’re coming back early for a special episode with a VERY special guest. New episode Wednesday 7PM ET.”

A clip from the podcast was also released with Taylor complimenting Travis on the blue he was wearing, to which he said, “Yes, it’s the color of your eyes, sweetie; it’s why we match so well.” Taylor then laughs, saying, “We’re about to do a f___ing podcast!”

Taylor made an album announcement alongside her appearance on the podcast. While the tracklist and release date haven’t been announced, her website is allowing for pre-orders with a shipment date of October 13.
