Meet our Furry Friday Friends of the Week!

Both of these cuties are from Second Chance Rescue of North Carolina

King is 4 years old and 56 lbs. He was found locked in a filthy crate, with no food, no water, and no comfort. His skin was raw from fleas, his tail broken from abuse, his spirit nearly gone. He was heartworm positive, but he has completed his treatment since being in rescue. His body carries the scars of neglect, but his heart still holds on to the hope of love.

King would do best in a home with no other dogs or small children. He deserves a quiet place, a soft bed, and someone who will never give up on him again.

Sweetie is a 7 year old 20 lb sweetheart who lives up to her name. She’s playful, goofy, and loves showing off her toys. Dog friendly, kid friendly, and happiest when she’s playing with her friends all day, she has the kind of gentle, joyful spirit that makes everyone around her smile. Sweetie is heartworm positive, but she’s almost finished with her treatment and is well on her way to a healthy future. What she needs now is a forever family to give her the love and security she’s been waiting for.

As with any rescue or shelter dog, please follow the 3:3:3 rule. These dogs need to decompress….3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your routine, 3 months to feel safe and part of your home. Give them time and patience. SLOW INTROS are always recommended for any new dog entering a new home.

Thanks to our amazing sponsor Zerorez… their support helps us reach more people through social media, giving at risk animals a better chance at a furever home.
