Taylor Frankie Paul, star of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, has been named the lead for season 22 of The Bachelorette. The announcement came on Wednesday, Sept. 10, on the Call Her Daddy podcast.

“Surreal. It has not hit me right now in this moment,” she explained on the podcast. “I’m just thinking about it, and it’s not real. And it’s not going to be until I think the limo is pulling up, you know? And meeting the people.”

Paul, 31, first gained a following in the #MomTok community before drawing national attention in 2022 when she revealed her divorce from Tate Paul and detailed a “soft-swinging” arrangement among her friend group. The fallout was later documented in the reality series Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which also followed her relationship with Dakota Mortensen.

Paul and Mortensen, who were expecting a child together during filming, have since split.

The new season of The Bachelorette is expected to highlight Paul’s journey to find love following the high-profile controversies that made her one of TikTok’s most talked-about personalities.
