Bruce Willis’ wife thought ‘Die Hard’ role was to blame

Emma Heming Willis shared how her family is coping with vacations and significant events as her husband, Bruce Willis, battles frontotemporal dementia. In her book, “The Unexpected Journey: Finding Strength,
Hope, and Yourself on the Caregiving Path,” Heming Willis revealed that Willis was unable to attend their daughter Maple’s sixth-grade graduation due to his condition. Despite his absence, she described channeling
his spirit into the moment. The family has had to make difficult decisions, such as leaving Willis with a care team during a trip to Mexico, to ensure his well-being. Heming Willis expressed sadness that her daughters
will not have the opportunity to create memories with their father on future vacations and milestones due to his diagnosis.
