Singer and Huntersville native Reneé Rapp has postponed her Charlotte stop on the “BITE ME” tour, originally set for Wednesday night at the Spectrum Center.

Rapp announced late Tuesday on Instagram that her voice hadn’t fully recovered, forcing her to push back the hometown show. The new date is Friday, Nov. 7, and all original tickets will be honored.

Earlier in the tour, Rapp postponed her Atlanta and Tampa shows for medical reasons. She said she had hoped to keep the Charlotte performance as scheduled but ultimately couldn’t perform.

“I’m recovering slowly but still not in a place where I am able to perform safely tomorrow night at my hometown show- I am so sorry and heartbroken that I have to postpone,” she wrote.

In her post, Rapp apologized to fans and thanked them for their understanding, saying she knows how much effort and planning goes into attending a show.

“I’m taking this time to recover and then next week for these rescheduled shows I will give you the best version of me,” she said. “The best version of this show that I love so much. The show you deserve to see.”
