Trick-or-Treat & Halloween Events Around Charlotte

Families across Charlotte are preparing for a night of spooky fun, costumes, and candy as Halloween arrives. For parents of school-age kids, finding the right time to head out can be tricky, but local traditions make it easy to plan.
In most Charlotte-area neighborhoods, trick-or-treating runs between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. This time frame offers the perfect balance of daylight for visibility and evening excitement for kids eager to show off their costumes.
Parents are encouraged to bring flashlights or glow sticks for added safety once the sun sets, keep an eye on traffic, and stick to well-lit neighborhoods. Whether you’re trick-or-treating close to home or joining a community event, the goal is the same, safe, sweet fun for everyone.
