‘College GameDay’ will be live this Saturday in Charlotte and will reveal an all-new version of “Comin’ To Your City” with new voices taking over.
GameDay shared video messages from the new voices of the song, Darius Rucker, Lainey Wilson, and The Cadillac Three, expressing their excitement to be part of the college football pregame show.
“Oh man, I’ve watched that opening so many times. I used to sit in my room and go, ‘I’ve gotta write a song so I can do the opening of GameDay,’” Rucker said in the video.
“What I’m getting to do is pretty amazing.”
ESPN announced last week that Big & Rich would no longer be performing the intro, which was featured on College GameDay for the past 16 seasons.
