The average price of a gallon of gas in the U.S. has dropped 6 cents over the past two weeks to $4.37.

Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg said Sunday that the slight decrease comes after nine straight weeks of price hikes totaling 98 cents.

However, the price at the pump is still $1.42 higher than it was a year ago.

Nationwide, the highest average price for gas is in Los Angeles at $5.99 per gallon.

Do you think we’ll see gas prices drop below $4.00 before the end of the year? If you were going on a road trip for Spring Break, did the high gas prices change your plans?
