Damar Hamlin has been cleared to fully resume football activities, Buffalo Bills GM Brandon Beane announced Tuesday, an incredible recovery considering the safety’s condition less than four months ago. His clearance status is “just like anyone else who was coming back from an injury,” Beane said. “He’s in a great headspace to come back and make his return.”

On Jan. 2, Hamlin was at the center of one of the scariest moments on a football field, collapsing in the first quarter of a Monday night game against the Bengals. His heart had stopped on the field after suffering cardiac arrest and the game stopped. He was transported to a local hospital where he stayed for many days.
