Taylor Sheridan, who is one of the creators of Yellowstone, has good news for fans of the show about season 5. The second half of Season 5 was initially planned to premiere in the summer, but the first half of the season was finished in early January. Kevin Costner, the series’ actor, and Paramount have been at odds about his shooting schedule for Season 5’s second half, which interferes with his schedule for a movie project called Horizon. As a result, there have been delays.  It’s unknown if John Dutton, played by Costner, will return to finish out his plot arc after reportedly dying early in the new episodes. Sheridan said, “If I think it takes 10 episodes to wrap it up, they’ll give me 10. It’ll be as long as it needs to be.” He continued about Kevin Costner, “My last conversation with Kevin was that he had this passion project he wanted to direct. He and the network were arguing about when he could be done with Yellowstone. I Said, ‘We can certainly work a schedule toward [Costner’s departure],’ which we did.”
