Taylor Swift urges fans to avoid cyberbullying, even towards those mentioned in her music. Swift talked to the crowd in Minneapolis and played “Dear John,” a song believed to be about John Mayer. “I’m 33 years old. I don’t care about anything that happened to me when I was 19 except the songs I wrote and the memories we made together” she told the crowd. “I’m not putting this album out so that you can go and should feel the need to defend me on the internet against someone you think I might have written a song about 14 billion years ago.” Taylor Swift is re-releasing “Speak Now” on July 7 as part of her project to re-record her first six albums. Swift and Mayer dated in 2009, when she was 19, and he was 31.

“Speak Now” came out in 2010. Swift hadn’t played “Dear John” publicly for 11 years before her surprise performance on Saturday night.  Do you think Speak Now being re-released cause fans to go after Taylor’s exes?
